Dawn Braithwaite, emerita Will Cather Professor in the Department of Communication Studies, is being inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Central States Communication Assocation.
Inductees have been a member of CSCA for at least 25 years and contributed to the discipline through scholarship, teaching, mentoring, participation at conventions, and service to the association.
"Dawn was my Ph.D. advisor, mentor, and encouraged me both professionally and personally. We are not just students to her, but lives who she feels compelled to make a difference in."
"Dawn not only talks the talk, but she walks the walk when it comes to setting an example of how to conduct one's professional affairs as a member of the academy. She is an exemplar of how to actively engage one's community and serve both the community and the discipline of communication through research, teaching, mentorship, and service."
"Dawn's record of scholarship, teaching, and outreach–especially to the profession–is among the best and most visible in our profession. She is a credit to our profession and to the Central States Communication Association."
