Research Interests
My interests focus on identity and difference, in general, to understand how our interactions both shape and improve our attitudes toward others, or how our attitudes influence our communication and interactions with others. In doing so, I hope to understand the connection between group-based attitudes, communication, social relations and solidarity, and individual self-concept and well-being. My research is primarily guided by a social identity and intergroup communication perspective, with my current research focusing on queer men and meta-stereotypes.
